I worked with the owner Mike, who makes sure things are done right the first time(aka Holmes on Homes). He was very straightforward and honest (very refreshing). My home was being totally rebuilt after a house fire, so I decided to have the chronic moisture problems of basement fixed. I did a lot of research, and determined the trenching system Mer Morrison does would be great for our home. The finished product speaks for itself! What great work the crew did! When it rains, I just smile, instead of praying we don't get water in the basement. I'm an Optometrist, so I really have an eye for detail, and Mer Morrison waterproofing passes with flying colors!! -

For the past 2 years after a heavy rain, my crawl space has flooded. In one case, it almost overflowed into my utility room. Kevin came out and gave me an estimate. It was a bit lower than another company. Kevin told me what needed to be done in terms I could understand. From Aug. 19-21, Ceasar and his crew performed the work in my crawl space. It was a very messy and labor intensive job. There is no room to stand up in this crawl space. They had to move the broken up concrete from the crawl space, through the utility room and an outside back door. They covered everything in the utility room so it would not get too dirty. They completely cleaned up the room afterwards. I was very comfortable having the crew in my home. They were very conscientious and respectful of my property. We had a very heavy rain a few weeks ago, and the space was dry!!! - A. Cosner
They installed a complete French drain system around our house. They also installed two sump pumps, water proofed the exterior basement walls and repaired thirty to forty cracks in the basement walls. They came in and they absolutely saved us. The work that they did was just amazing. A complete miracle is all I can say. I even wrote a special thank you letter to their boss and they really appreciated that. I was planning to finish my basement, after initial demolition I found wet walls and floor. I called MER and Michael Reiff (president) came out to give me an estimate. He came out the next day and diagnosed the problem. I wasn't shopping; I had planned on using MER after a friend who has worked with them many times recommended them. The price was reasonable for the work and was to begin two days later. Two days later the men arrived at 9am and went to work. Perfect from start to finish. They took two dump truck loads of dirt and concrete out of my basement; all passed in buckets out of a small basement window. A filthy job that was performed in an immaculate manner. MER was an excellent service. I loved that the owner came to our home and explained the services about to be rendered, and all the lifetime warranties that were included. I had done plenty of research for about a year prior. He was patient and answered every question we asked of him. During the work being done he would check up on the workers. They were very true to their word. We paid half up front and then the rest at the end. Four years later we are still very pleased with their work! - R. Holmes
We found Mer/Morrison and called them. It was completely refreshing to have Kevin come out, no computer show, no glossy brochures, just a guy with a tape measure and clip board who knew what he was doing. Kevin e-mailed us the estimate and clearly described the work that needed to be done. The work crew, led by Jose, showed up on time, was competent and efficient. In addition, this was the only company who provided us with the name of an electrician who could put the outlet in for the sump pump. The other two companies only said that we needed to get an electrician but did not offer suggestions. I would definitely recommend Mer/Morrison. Mer/Morrison deserves their A rating. - M. Goldin

To conclude, I did not have any work performed by MER because they helped me determine that no work was necessary. Mike was honest, up-front and very professional. He could have easily suggested work that would have made minimal improvements to the drainage around my house at potentially high cost, but he did not. I am extremely impressed with MER. It is rare to find a company that is as honest and helpful as MER. If I ever have need of this type of service, I would not hesitate to call them again and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of basement waterproofing and/or exterior drainage work. - G.
